August 7th 2005 will be a yellow day for uploads on deviantART!! I say anything you upload has to do with the color YELLOW in suppprt of Jark!


The Day: August 7, 2005
The Idea: Every deviation has something to do with the color Yellow.
The Reason: To show our support for Jark!


Jark has been removed as DA Staff for reasons not known to the community. Jark is one of the co-founders of deviantART and needless to say is not a happy camper right now. There have been suggestions of no uploads that day, I say we go one step past doing nothing, we upload images, poems, anime, everything to do with the color yellow, if you know anything about Jark you know why.

I don't presume to know anything about anything. Including the firing of jark.

However, DeviantArt is much of jark's creation. Essentially, this is his art and it has been stolen from him.

DeviantArt does not exist to simply make money. That was not and is not the base of this site, and the basis of DA is...well, community. We came here to show our art and be part of the DA community, not to make money for a corporation. And, in my opinion, jark is the one who made the difference. -_-

Ironically enough the idea of community has become most evident when most of DA united under jark.

I may be misreading everything, but I would like to know the reasons for his firing. I guess we'll have to wait until legal issues blow over, but I would appreciate it of some sort of explanation was given for this. :/ In the end, there won't be any peace between the two sides at all unless truth is given.

In the meantime...I'm deactivating my gallery until (as of right now) August 7th and will not be submitting anything other than DA related deviations.
